BIOGRAPHY
John Sanchez holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from Florida International University, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art & Design. Sanchez has had four solo exhibitions at Emerson Dorsch entitled, As they Are in 2011, Recorded Eyesight in 2009, Variations on a Theme in 2007, and Take Off in 2006. Additional solo exhibitions include, Recent Works at Frost Art Museum (Miami, FL). Sanchez has participated in selected group exhibitions that include Vanishing Points: paintings from the Debra and Dennis Scholl collection at Bass Museum of Art (Miami Beach, Florida), Aesthatics & Values at Frost Art Museum (Miami, FL) as well as Pulse Art Fair (New York, NY), Next Art Fair (Chicago, IL) and Naples Art Museum (Naples, FL). Press includes the Miami Herald and the Miami New Times. John’s work is included in the collections of Frost Art Museum (Miami, FL), Knight Foundation (Miami, FL), Debra and Dennis Scholl (Miami, FL), Bill Bilowit and Grela Orihuela (Miami FL), Mathias and Simone Schenk (Knetzgau, Germany), Julie Rasmussen (Mclean, VA), Jose W.Perez of Frost Museum (Miami, FL), Steve Webber of the Miami Heat (Miami, FL), Michael Vasquez (Miami, FL), Alex Rodriguez (Miami, FL), and Michael Hughes of The Wolfsonian (Miami, FL). He has taught painting and drawing at University of Miami, Broward College, Nova Southeastern University, Miami International University of Art and Design and Florida International University.
