Robert Thiele holds a Masters and Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting from Kent State University. Thiele has had two solo exhibitions at Emerson Dorsch. Selected solo shows have been exhibited at Howard Scott Gallery (New York, NY), Kunstlerkries Ortenau (Offenburg, Germany), Miami Art Museum (Miami, FL), Howard Scott/ M-13 Gallery (New York, NY), Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (Winston-Salem, NC), Metropolitan Museum of Art (Coral Gables, FL). Selected group exhibitions include New Work Miami 2010, Big Juicy Paintings, Currents, and New Acquisitions, Dream Collection Part Five at Miami Art Museum (Miami, FL), Sarasota Biennial at Ringling Museum of Art (Sarasota, FL), Wallworks at Sculpture Center (New York, NY).
